A networked database used to resolve IP addresses from symbolic names (i.e. Turn human readable names like www.yourdomain.org into computer usable IP addresses like 127.0.0.1), as well as provide a way for computers to get special kinds of information about Internet domains, such as determining where to deliver mail to you@yourdomain.org, knowing which server to connect to when someone tries to chat with you, etc.
The dotnet DNS service has been running at 100% availability since Late 2005. Our DNS servers give you a place to set up and manage the domains you use, with an easy to use and understand web interface that allows you to manage your own DNS with minimal technical skills.

NOTE: This solution is not for exceptionally high volume domains – if you are doing an excess of 5GB per month of DNS queries, we’re probably going to contact you. In perspective, though, when we had 1000 domains hosted we were seeing about 2GB traffic a month – and some of the domains were busy!
