Background:
Janine is one of those weird people who actually LOVES accounting. She has been involved in bookkeeping and other accounting functions since the age of 13 (when Pastel still worked in DOS), and has developed a real passion for her line of work.
She completed 5 years of articles , and from there worked in positions which only helped to strengthen her knowledge and experience, until she started her own practice in October 2008. In 2009 she wrote her SAIPA (South African Institute of Professional Accountants) Professional Evaluation, which she passed, and is now a Registered Professional Accountant (SA).
Janine has experience on all versions of Pastel (full support), Quickbooks, Turbocash, Navision and Accpac (basic). On the payroll side she has experience on manual salary calculations, as well as Softline VIP.
One of her favourite sayings is “give me a box of slips and I’ll make it pretty!” and she lives by this. She enjoys all aspects of bookkeeping and accounting and would love to help other business owners develop a love for the finances of their company, rather than dreading each month- and year-end.
Janine is currently head of the Financial Services division of dotnet cc, as well as serving as the Financial Manager.
